The Production Manager is a key member of the leadership team in Vegas responsible for all Client business and projects. The Production Manager works in conjunction with the leadership team to ensure compliance with work instructions, quality standards and deliveries are met. The Production Manager serves five important functions: overseeing the daily management of workflow; providing job planning & costing information; adherence to quality processes; inventory management; and understand all aspects of production. Integral to the success of this position is the ability to manage multiple projects in an extremely fast-paced environment and the ability to work and communicate across well with all levels and roles within the organization as well as with third-party vendors.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure proper planning, adequate inventory, and to disseminate work instructions
Manage inventory of raw materials, reporting on balances, transactions and usage for job costing purposes.
Provide job costing information.
Act as liaison for job planning, inventory and job status report
Attend production meetings, monitor schedules and establish priorities
Provide oversight to manufacturing to ensure job requirements and schedules are met
Document and maintain processes, procedures and workflow by working with leadership team to ensure strict adherence to business rules and procedures to maintain an error-free environment
Coordinate with department leaders to launch new capabilities and workflow procedures including training support and development of training materials and troubleshooting
Manage the team to include hiring, motivating, coaching, counseling, training and problem solving
Send samples of all received printed materials to Production Managers
Gather feedback from manufacturing on projects
Identify work process improvements
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience in account supervision, production, or equivalent combination of related training and experience
Ability to read and evaluate press templates
Extensive knowledge of the principles of project management; ability to prepare and monitor project schedules
Ability to utilize basic computer software applications including word processing, spreadsheet programs, and project management programs such as SharePoint
Knowledge of USPS regulations
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers and vendors
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks and responsibilities.
